FXPesa, a Kenya-regulated brand operated by Equiti Group, has opened a new ‘trading academy’ in Tanzania.
The company’s office has its branding on it. However, it appears to be operated by a local education and introducing partner – Prudence Maximillian.
On X, FXPesa said the office will host physical education sessions from Monday to Friday.
Equiti was the first company to get a license in Kenya back in 2018, part of a wider trend which saw more firms expanding into emerging markets.
The firm has since built a big following in Kenya, although the firm is also picking up clients in other parts of Africa.
The opening of the education centre in Tanzania appears to be part of a wider effort to expand in the country. The company is also running a trading event in Dar es Salaam, the country’s largest city and its major business hub.
Brokers will often enter a market via an IB partnership like this or by using a trading academy. As providing education is not a regulated activity, it can be an easy way to market your brand and attract clients.
