Brokerage group Capital.com has hired Siddharth Sahoo as Head of Operations for its MENA division and as lead for the company’s AI projects.
Sahoo will work from the company’s growing Dubai office.
He joins the firm from Auquan, a company that purports to use artificial intelligence to uncover material within financial reports and also auto-generates a number of different reports for financial services businesses.
Prior to that, Sahoo spent almost five years at US investment bank JP Morgan. Based in the company’s London office, he worked in data roles, before moving into a broader strategy position within the firm’s corporate and investment banking team.
Sahoo has also held roles at Deutsche Bank and Boston Consulting Group.
Dubai is now one of Capital.com’s main offices, with the broker seeing success across the MENA region. The company recently partnered with Amazon in Dubai, with more than 500,000 branded boxes being delivered to people in the city state.
The broker is also in the midst of a hiring boom. Speaking to TradeInformer recently, Chief Product and Technology Officer Dana Massey said the company is looking to hire upwards of 300 new employees, primarily in technology roles, to build out a large number of products over the next two years.
