Brokerage group DB Investing has hired Maher Asmar as its Head of Business Development.
Asmar was most recently Director of Business Development at StoneX, the owner of retail brands FOREX.com and City Index.
He has worked in the financial services industry for over two decades and has held roles at various banks, fund managers, and retail brokerages.
Prior to StoneX, he worked at ADSS for almost six years as the company’s Director of Relationship Management.
Aside from this, he has worked in senior sales roles at retail broker Mubasher Capital and Swiss private banking group Sarasin, which was later taken over by Saxo Bank’s new owner and became J Safra Sarasin.
DB Investing has its headquarters in Dubai and has category 5 approval from the local Securities and Commodities Authority.
The broker is also licensed in the Seychelles and has a number of global entities, including in Egypt, Canada, and Cyprus.
