Brokerage executive Joshua Owen has been named Chief Executive Officer of APM Capital Markets.

APM Capital is based in the UAE and runs a brokerage business offering both CFDs and listed instruments.

The company acquired the FCA-regulated arm of BUX, a Dutch neobroker, in mid-2024.

Owen has been in the FX/CFD industry for almost a decade. He started his career in the industry in 2015 at Ayondo, working on the company’s trading team.

He joined BUX’s UK team in 2020 and has been working as the broker’s Head of Trading since then.

APM appears to be making a number of changes to its senior staff before actually going live with its product.

The company does have an FCA-approved website but is not currently offering any trading accounts.

APM’s (and BUX UK’s) former CEO, Salim Sebbata, left the company at the end of last year to join Capital.com as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions.
