Brokerage group Plus500 has quietly partnered with what was arguably the first funded trader company – Topstep.

Based in the US, TopStep offers futures trading challenges. The company was founded in 2012, which would potentially make it the oldest player in the sector.

Last year the company launched its own trading platform called TopstepX and has partnered with Plus500 for that.

According to the prop firm’s website, Plus500 is providing simulated execution to traders using the Topstep platform.

The company also says on one of its product pages that live accounts, given to those who pass its challenge, can be accessed via Plus500.

Those accounts are available via a trading platform called T4, which Plus500 operates.

Plus500 is able to offer services to TopStep as it is regulated in the US as a Futures Commission Merchant (‘FCM’). The broker says it has onboarded thousands of US customers since it started to roll out services in the country over the last couple of years.
