Brokerage group Capital.com has hired a new product manager from rival firm IG Group.
Maggie Lighezzolo joins the company as a Senior Product Manager and will be based in the broker’s London office.
She was with IG Group for close to five years, overseeing the company’s website and – later on – the integration of research and analysis tools.
According to her own LinkedIn page, Lighezzolo was responsible for integrating TipRanks into IG’s set of products, something that resulted in a 60% uplift to first time trades.
Capital.com is currently hiring a huge number of employees in technology, with the goal of launching 12 – 15 new products over the course of the next couple of years.
We recently spoke to the firm’s Chief Product and Technology Officer – Dana Massey – about that initiative. Massey’s main argument was that failing to add new products means the company will not be able to compete over the long-term.
