cTrader adds new algo tools in latest update

Technology company Spotware has added a number of new features to cTrader, in the latest update for the trading platform.

Perhaps the most striking feature for the new app is the fact that clients can now create algos on any device when using cTrader.

Those algos are then synced across all devices, meaning an algo that you created on your PC, could then be accessed on your phone.

More interestingly, algos can be set to run and operate, even when you are offline. There is no added fee for this service, which in practice negates the need to pay for a VPS to host automated trading strategies.

“With the game-changing cTrader 5.0 update, we are proud to drive an algo-trading revolution,” said Denis Kiselev, Head of Product at Spotware.

“Aligned with our ‘Mobile First’ strategy, cTrader Cloud is the industry’s only solution enabling traders to manage and launch their bots directly from a mobile app. Cloud execution radically expands the mobility of algo trading, delivering device-independent, always-on, and groundbreaking experiences to all cTrader users.”

New IB tools

Another interesting set of updates for brokers are in the introducing broker (IB) sphere.

IBs partnered with a cTrader broker can now share algos, indicators and plugins via a simple link. Clients that are then acquired via these links can be attributed to the IB.

cTrader also now has a product that means trading strategies can be embedded into a website. If a trader then clicks on that strategy and onboards with a broker, that will then be attributed back to the relevant IB.

UI and plugins updates

Other key updates on cTrader 5.0 include changes to the UI/UX of the platform. For example, traders can now switch symbols within the chart they are looking at. Traders can also add different panels with indicators, under the chart itself and have all of those tabs in one screen.

Spotware has also added third-party plugins that allow users customise cTrader’s user interface. Brokers using cTrader can thus integrate new tools for their clients, without having to take them from Spotware. For example, a broker could add an AI user assistant plugin to the platform.
