Devexperts options and futures platform

Technology provider Devexperts announced on Tuesday that it has launched a new futures trading offering for brokers.

The new platform allows brokers to offer clients trading in futures and options on futures. It can be offered as either a web trader or as a mobile app on Android and iOS.

Devexperts said the platform can be accessed ‘out of the box’ or with client-specific customisations.

Traders using the platform have direct connections to the CME and ICE. Devexperts says it can integrate trading on any US futures exchange to the platform.

The company said that the new product was launched in response to growing demand from brokers for futures products.

This was a subject looked at in the latest TradeInformer newsletter, with AvaFutures targeting Spain heavily in the wake of the country’s ban on CFD marketing.

Over in the US, brokers like Robinhood have also been looking to expand into futures. Plus500 has also spent the last couple of years rolling out its retail futures offering in the US too.

Exchanges are also catering to this demand by expanding the number of nano and micro contracts that traders can access. These offer lower cost contract sizes, which make them more affordable for the average retail trader.

We saw another example of this growth in demand on Monday, as the CME Group announced its sponsorship of a futures trading competition on TradingView.
