Capital.com has appointed former Pepperstone executive Mariia Erokhina as Vice President of IT Operations.
Erokhina announced the move in a LinkedIn post today, describing the role as the start of a new chapter in her career.
Based in Limassol, she will be responsible for Capital.com’s global IT operations strategy, including communications platforms, service delivery, procurement, vendor management, and technology transformation initiatives.
Erokhina joins the broker after spending more than two years at Pepperstone. Most recently, she served as General Manager of Information Security and Compliance, where she led the company’s security governance, compliance, and risk management functions across multiple regulatory jurisdictions.
Prior to that, she was Pepperstone’s Global Head of IT Security.
Before joining the broker, Erokhina served as Chief Information Security Officer at identity verification provider Sumsub, where she built the company’s information security function and oversaw several certification and compliance projects.
Earlier in her career, she held senior information security roles at Citi and Russian cybersecurity provider Solar Security.
In her LinkedIn announcement, Erokhina said she was looking forward to working with new technologies and tackling new challenges at Capital.com.
The appointment comes as brokers continue to invest heavily in technology, cybersecurity, and operational resilience amid growing regulatory requirements and increased use of artificial intelligence across the financial services industry.
