FXGT launches proprietary app, platform

Brokerage group FXGT has launched its own trading app and platform.

Users can only access the app or the webtrader by first registering for an account via the company’s MT5 platform.

There are a couple of possible reasons why the company decided to launch the new products.

Firstly, there is big demand for end clients for access to TradingView charting tools.

TradingView charts can’t be accessed from within MetaQuotes products and, unless a broker is connected to TradingView, it basically means a client cannot trade using their charting.

Having your own app is a potential solution to this problem, with FXGT able to offer clients TradingView charting, which they can then use to more easily execute trades.

Another factor is a mix of simplicity and branding.

Lots of clients want a simpler platform to use, which MetaQuotes doesn’t arguably offer, given it’s more for ‘hardcore’ traders.

Another facet of this is branding and marketing. Having your own app means you can offer clients something ‘different and also use the ‘unique’ and, on occasion, navigate more complicated regulatory regimes.
