Brokerage executive Bogdan Nicolae Albu is set to leave his role at Estonian firm Admirals after just under six years.
Albu joined the company in 2019 and worked as an advisor to the board, as well as being a Global Sales Coordinator.
In 2021, he was made Regional Director for Admirals’ operations in Romania and Hungary. He was also the broker’s branch manager for Romania.
Albu has worked in financial services for two decades. He started out at Dutch bank ING, working in the company’s insurance division in Romania.
He moved into the online trading industry in 2013, when he joined Polish broker XTB.
He spent almost seven years at the broker and was promoted on a couple of occasions, eventually becoming a General Manager and Country Branch Director for the firm’s Romanian operations.
Despite being an early player in the market, Admirals has come under more pressure in the past few years.
The company was profitable in 2024, generating net income of €1.3m. However, in the prior year, the company lost over €8m.
