Broker Weltrade announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with Colombian football player Luis Diaz.

The footballer, who recently moved to Bayern Munich from Liverpool, will take part in the broker’s new brand campaign – ‘faster, better, stronger’.

According to a statement published by Weltrade, the campaign will go live this month across the broker’s social media channels.

That campaign will target Asia in particular. The broker noted that traders in the region will get access to behind the scenes content and exclusive trading offers.

“Luis embodies the spirit of resilience, precision, and ambition—values that are core to our mission at Weltrade,” said Weltrade CEO Ilya Ilyasov . “This partnership marks a new era of dynamic engagement, and we’re thrilled to have him champion our journey forward.”

Weltrade targeting LATAM?

It’s also possible the broker is using the partnership to target traders in Latin America.

SimilarWeb data shows that the company gets almost 40% of its web traffic from Colombia.

Having Diaz as a brand ambassador is a way of reinforcing the company’s position in the country, assuming that data is accurate and actually translates into meaningful client numbers.

Diaz is extremely popular in Colombia, where he is part of the national team and arguably the best player from the country today.
