Retail broker BUX announced on Friday that it has partnered with PrimaryBid.
London-based PrimaryBid is a technology company that allows retail investors to invest in IPOs or other new equity issuances. The company has also expanded into fixed-income.
The company is not the first to have an offering like this. For example, broker Winterflood has also done retail offerings. But it is notable in being focused solely on connecting individual investors with these sorts of offerings.
In June of this year, it was reported that the London Stock Exchange Group would be taking over parts of the PrimaryBid business, with the tech company seeking to shift into a focus on software.
The partnership with BUX means that customers that use the company’s investment platform will be able to access new equity issuance and IPO opportunities.
Although it was historically focused on the UK market, PrimaryBid does also have a partnership with exchange operator Euronext, meaning it can tap into new raises in the European Union as well.
“This partnership will empower retail investors, providing them with unprecedented opportunities to participate in primary offerings and shape their financial futures,” said BUX CEO Yorick Naeff. “At BUX, we are committed to democratising investing, and this alliance furthers our mission to make investing accessible to everyone.”
