Carla Nemr joins Tauro Markets as CCO

Broker executive Carla Nemr has moved to start up firm Tauro Markets. She will work as Chief Commercial Officer.

Nemr left her last role at Tickmill in July of this year. At Tickmill, she was Chief Business Development Officer. She was with the brokerage group for close to eight years, having joined the firm in 2017.

Nemr got her start in the brokerage industry 15 years ago at FxPulp – a broker that no longer exists but which primarily targeted the Arabic market.

After leaving FxPulp in 2012, she had stints at Alpari, FXTM, Falcon Brokers, and Lebanese firm Amana.

Nemr is the second executive to join Tauro Markets this week. Fellow Tickmill executive Marco Zenoni announced he’d moved to the company on Monday. He was previously Content Strategist at Tickmill but will work as Operations Manager at Tauro Markets.

Tauro is a new broker and is being backed by a Dubai-registered investment group called Synervest.

The group includes Tauro Markets CEO Alexander Oelfke, who was previously CEO of broker BDSwiss and another company called Skyground. David Dubrelle, CEO of Kuwaiti broker JM Financial, is also a part of the group backing the new brand.
