Brokerage executive Chester Humphreys has moved to start up firm Deus X Markets, a new company in the industry, which launched at the start of this week.
Humphreys joins the firm from Onyx Capital, where he was a Senior Account Manager.
Onyx is a newcomer to the retail broker space. The company has been a major player in the oil derivatives market and seems to have been seeking to branch out into the retail broker space.
The new brokerage was supposed to go live this month, although that is yet to happen.
Humphreys was previously at Capital.com and worked on the broker’s sales desk for close to three years.
He will be reconnecting with former colleague Tim Plummer at Deus X Markets, a new player in the space that provides a ‘broker in the box’ style package that allows people to start and operate a broker easily. Plummer was previously at Capital.com, where he worked as Head of Product Strategy.
The company, which announced its launch this week, is backed by Deus X Capital.
