Brokerage conglomerate Doo Group has opened an office in Limassol.

The company has had a presence in Cyprus for a while now but the new office makes that more official.

The office is located in the Hyper Tower in central Limassol and the broker’s logo is now printed on the top of the building.

In a statement, the brokerage group said it has around 80 employees working in its Cyprus office.

The company also said it wants to make the new Cyprus office a hub for its EMEA region activities.

As reported on TradeInformer 18 months ago, Doo Group started a hiring spree in Cyprus about two years ago, which seems to have been the first part of its build out of a local entity.

The company acquired a license from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission at the end of last year.

Doo Group is not a particularly well-known brand in Europe. However, the firm has a big presence in the Asia-Pacific region, with multiple licences in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Australia, and Malaysia. The group also has other entities in locations like the US, UK, and Dubai.

Today the firm employs over 1,000 people and is active across broking, insurance, property, wealth management, and payments.
