E8 Markets hires My Forex Funds exec as CGO

Prop trading firm E8 Markets has hired a former My Forex Funds executive as its Chief Growth Officer.

Yavuz Karadeniz has moved to the the firm from My Forex Funds, where he worked for over three years.

He joined My Forex Funds as a support specialist before being made the lead member of the customer support team.

Karadeniz was ultimately made a director of the company.

My Forex Funds was one of the largest prop trading companies in the nascent sector.

However, the firm was shut down by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in September of 2023. The CFTC has taken the firm to court, accusing the company of fraud and misrepresenting the product it was actually offering. That case is still ongoing.

Figuring which prop firms are the largest in revenue terms is difficult as they are all private companies, usually registered offshore.

Leaving that aside, E8 Markets was one of the earlier players in the sector. The company is also typically a big spender on affiliates and advertising. It also has a large social following and, according to SimilarWeb, almost 1m site visits per month.
