Eugene Investment & Futures partners with Devexperts

Eugene Investment & Futures has teamed up with global trading-technology developer Devexperts to introduce advanced options trading tools to South Korean retail investors.

The partnership aims to make complex strategies, particularly those involving US-listed equity and index options, more accessible.

The platform incorporates Devexperts’ dxFeed market-data solution, which provides real-time pricing for US options, historical charts, and analytics such as Greeks, implied volatility, and theoretical values.

Full OPRA options and US equities data are delivered through AWS infrastructure in South Korea to reduce latency.

The rollout marks the first time such capabilities will be offered to retail traders in South Korea, according to the firms.

They said the new service is designed to expand an already active market for retail derivatives trading by delivering more sophisticated features than those currently available.

Sookoo Lee, CEO of Eugene Investment & Futures, said Korean investors have shown strong interest in US stocks.

“To provide Korean retail investors with a reliable and advanced US options trading service, we were looking for a partner with proven technical expertise and a strong track record,” Lee said.

“Through this partnership, Eugene Investment & Futures and Devexperts will take the lead in developing Korea’s emerging options market, distinguishing themselves with unrivaled options trading content and driving the popularization of options trading among retail investors.”

Eugene Investment & Futures, founded in 1991, brings more than 30 years of experience in derivatives brokerage and product development.

Devexperts contributes two decades of trading-software expertise, including a newly developed mobile interface intended to offer advanced functionality while remaining intuitive for users. The companies said the system is built to scale to hundreds of thousands of traders.

Jon Light, senior director of product management at Devexperts, said: “We worked very closely with Eugene Investment & Futures on the development of this advanced options trading product designed specifically for the retail trading market in South Korea.

“We’re excited to see US options trading brought to South Korea in this way and look forward to our ongoing work with Eugene Investment & Futures to support its continued growth and success in the market.”
