Online trading executive Anet Azrielant has joined brokerage group Prime Capital Markets.
Regulated in Mauritius, the brokerage firm received a license from the Mauritian Financial Services Commission early last year.
However, the company does not appear to have fully launched yet.
Prime Capital Markets looks like it will run two different businesses – a broker operating under the brand 24markets.com and a prop firm called 24funded.com.
The brokerage arm is not live yet, but the prop trading arm does seem to be active.
Azrielant will be familiar to readers as she has worked in online trading for almost two decades.
She started her career at broker easyMarkets, then known as easyForex, back in 2006. She spent over a decade at the firm and was ultimately the broker’s VP Sales.
Since leaving easyMarkets, she has held senior roles at a number of retail brokers, including IronFX, FXGlobe, and Capital.com. She spent three years at the latter firm and was the company’s Head of Global Sales.
More brokers, more props
The launch of the new brand is a sign of how popular the prop trading product has become. As a result, it’s almost a ‘default’ product for firms to offer.
Large brands like ThinkMarkets, Blueberry, axi, and IC Markets all now have a prop trading product.
Speaking to TradeInformer last week, Sam Eder – the founder of new broker MarketMates – said that every single member of a trading community he operates expressed interest in trying prop trading.
