Francis Lee joins SquaredFinancial as Head of Asia

Trading industry executive Francis Lee has joined brokerage group SquaredFinancial as Head of Asia.

SquaredFinancial said in a statement that Lee will be tasked with expanding the broker’s presence in key markets in Asia.

“I am thrilled to welcome Francis Lee to our executive team,” said SquaredFinancial CEO and Founder Philippe Ghanem. “His innovative approach aligns with SquaredFinancial’s culture and vision. I am confident that, with his profound knowledge of the Asian markets, he will set for us a new milestone in this dynamic region.”

Lee has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years and has had stints at several large brokerage firms.

He joins SquaredFinancial from ADS Securities Hong Kong, where he was Managing Director. He spent almost a decade at the UAE-headquartered firm and was responsible for developing business in the Asia-Pacific region and driving the overall strategy for the company in the region.

Prior to joining ADSS, Lee was Regional Head of Business at Saxo Bank for over five years and also had a nearly decade-long stint at US broker FXCM, where he was Managing Director for APAC.

“Philipe has been a long-standing associate with whom I have maintained a relationship since the era of ADSS,” said Lee. “I firmly believe that the prosperity of any organization hinges upon the collective prowess of its personnel, and I assert without reservation that the management team at SquaredFinancial is among the most exceptional that I have encountered within the industry.”
