Cyprus-based broker HFM has hired Hayel Abu-Hamdan as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
Abu-Hamdan joins the firm from rival brand Hantec Markets, where he worked for just under 15 years. He was CCO at the broker for almost three years before the move to HFM, having spent 12 years at the company prior to that working as Chief Operating Officer.
Before joining Hantec, Abu-Hamdan spent almost a decade in different sales and senior executive roles at FX trading businesses.
“I am honoured to join HFM, a company that has consistently delivered innovation and excellence in the trading industry,” said Abu-Hamdan. “I look forward to working with the team to enhance our offerings, expand into new markets, and provide even greater value to our clients.”
In a statement sent to TradeInformer, HFM said that Abu-Hamdan would work to lead the broker’s commercial strategy and redefine its product offering. He will work from the broker’s Dubai office.
HFM has been growing rapidly over the last few years. The company rebranded from HotForex in 2022, reflecting a wider change in the industry, in which firms have sought to broaden their offering beyond pure FX trading.
