Riana Chaili joins FTMO broker arm

Brokerage executive Riana Chaili has joined the nascent brokerage arm of FTMO.

FTMO has long been active in the prop trading sector.

However, the firm is in the process of branching out into the brokerage industry. We spoke to the company’s CEO earlier this year, who noted that they believe they can bring something new to the sector.

The company has entities in Australia and Cyprus. The firm has also hired Michael Kamerman, the former CEO of Skilling and a long-time Managing Director at FXCM.

Chaili was most recently the CEO of the EMEA entity of liquidity provider 26 Degrees. She was also Chief Dealer at retail broker IC Markets.

Some props have acquired a brokerage license, although few have bothered to market the offering heavily. In some instances it may simply be a way of maintaining access to MetaQuotes technology.

For example, UK-based firm Alpha Capital has a license in the Seychelles. E8 Markets may have also set up a firm St Lucia, while The Funding Pips has also implied previously that they are attempting to aquire a license.
