Brokerage firm Swissquote has begun the roll out of a new app that contains all the company’s products and services in one interface.
The new app lets clients access banking services, investment plans, and a trading account all in one mobile app.
“Our unified client experience vision is becoming reality: One Team. One Brand. One Website. One Platform. One App,” said Jan De Schepper, Swissquote’s Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. “Together, these principles reflect our commitment to delivering client experiences that empower financial freedom.”
Swissquote’s app is arguably now one of the most developed in the industry.
The company is one of a small number of larger players that is attempting to build something like a super app, with all or most of the end user’s financial needs being served in one application.
The interesting question is whether this may mean they end up merging or shutting the Yuh app.
This is a more ‘fintech’ style application that Swissquote invested in and which provides a mix of investing, payments, and banking services – all in one app.
Given Swissquote’s own app looks to be trying to achieve something quite similar, it may be the case that Yuh becomes superfluous.
