Broker executive Lorenzo Patchay has moved companies, joining Traze as the broker’s new Head of Sales for South Africa.
Patchay joins the firm from rival broker Trade Nation. He spent almost four years at the London-headquartered brokerage group and worked as Head of Partners for the company’s South Africa team.
He originally worked as a sales and partners executive at Blackstone Futures, a South African broker that operated as an appointed representative for Trade Nation in the country. Blackstone rebranded to be part of the wider Trade Nation brand in 2021.
Traze is a relatively new brand that was launched over the last 18 months by the wider Zeal brokerage group.
The company appears to be using the brand to target Latin America, MENA, and parts of Asia. The appointment of Patchay suggests South Africa is now also on the cards for the broker.
