ATFX marks new Aussie office with Mint event

Brokerage group ATFX entered the Aussie market last year when it acquired the license of Japanese firm Rakuten Securities.

Since then the company has made several key hires in order to get the business fully operational.

That includes Country Head Simon Naish, who was previously at market maker Velocity Trade. The firm also hired Graham Morris as Head of Compliance. Morris previously held that role with rival broker OANDA, in their Australian office.

Other key hires include Oriano Lizza from CMC Markets, who is working on ATFX’s institutional sales team, and Nick Twidale as Chief Market Analyst.

12 months after the completion of the Rakuten acquisition and ATFX’s entry into the Aussie market, the broker held an event to officially launch its new office. This was held at the Mint, a historic landmark in the Australian capital Sydney.

ATFX Chairman Joe Li attended the event alongside Country Head Nick Twidale.

“As the Australian market continues to grow, ATFX aims to offer superior experiences to local and global clients through leading technology, continuous innovation, strong brand image, and high-end customer service,” said ATFX in a statement.

“As a global leading broker, ATFX has set an ambitious development blueprint to enhance its brand influence and expand into broader international markets.”
