Brokerage industry executive Wassim Anastasiou has joined Traze as Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa.
He joins the firm after spending just under a decade at rival broker ICM.
Anastasiou moved to ICM in 2016 and was originally a Client Services Executive. He was promoted two years later to Assistant Operations Manager and then again to Operations Manager.
For the last two years he worked as ICM’s Director of Operations in both Dubai and London.
Traze is a new brand that has been rolled out over the last 12 months or so.
However, the firm is operated by the Zeal group of companies, which operates the ZFX broker brand. The group is operated by Chinese entrepreneur Yun Chen and has existed for over a decade.
Traze is one of only a small number of firms to have acquired a Category 1 license in the United Arab Emirates, with most other firms operating under a Category 5 license.
