Trading executive Mohamed Ouerghi has joined the Dubai office of retail broker amana.
Ouerghi will work as Sales Director at the firm, which does the bulk of its business in the United Arab Emirates and other Middle East countries.
The new amana exec joins the firm from rival brand IG Group, where he spent the last three years as a premium client manager in the company’s Dubai office.
Ouerghi has worked in the online trading industry for 15 years. He had a three year-long stint at FXCM in the early 2010s and went on to work at other brands, including Equiti and now-defunct broker First Capital & Trust.
Prior to moving to Dubai to work for Equiti in 2021, Ouerghi also spent two years in amana’s Lebanese office as Senior Vice President of Sales.
amana has made big changes since Ouerghi last worked at the firm.
The company has flipped from being a more standard MetaTrader broker to offering stockbroking and investment services via its own mobile application.
