Retail broker FXGlobe has hired Reginald Sherekete as its new Chief Risk Officer.
Sherekete joins the broker from Doo Group, where he was Head of Risk for the last three years. He worked in the broker’s Cypriot office, which TradeInformer understands has seen a decline in headcount over the last six months.
The new FXGlobe executive has worked in the financial services industry for over two decades.
He began his career in the banking sector in the mid-2000s and spent a decade in different treasury and trading roles.
In 2016, Sherekete moved to Scope Markets’ Dubai office and went on to work for the broker for over four years in dealing desk roles.
Sherekete then moved to Trade.com’s owner in 2020 and spent just over two years at the firm as Chief Dealer, before moving to his role at Doo Group in 2022.
FXGlobe is headquartered in Cyprus, where it also holds a license. The brokerage group operates outside of Europe with licences in Vanuatu and South Africa.
