Sydney-based broker FXTRADING.com has appointed Adam Robert Phillips as its new chief executive.

Phillips brings more than 25 years’ experience in institutional trading, prime brokerage and multi-asset investment management to the role.

Phillips has previously overseen more than $74m in institutional FX and futures mandates and executed over $2bn in monthly volume through tier-one prime brokers including UBS, Deutsche Bank, Toronto Dominion Bank and Société Générale.

He joins from Yellowfin Asset Management, where he was managing director and provided portfolio and trading solutions for wholesale and institutional clients across FX, derivatives and securities.

His earlier role as managing director of Blue Fin Capital saw him secure mandates from major financial institutions, including a $42m mandate from FourWinds Capital Management. His responsibilities covered prime brokerage setup, portfolio construction, risk management, compliance and execution across major global exchanges.

Phillips said his focus will be on expanding FXTRADING.com’s global presence and strengthening operational transparency, client service and institutional-grade risk management.

His regulatory background spans ASIC and NFA jurisdictions, and he previously served as a registered representative of the Sydney Futures Exchange and a principal/associate member of the NFA.

Founded in 2014, FXTRADING.com provides access to more than 500 instruments across forex, equities, indices and commodities.

The broker operates under multiple regulatory frameworks and offers liquidity and execution through MT4, MT5 and WebTrader.
