Brokerage group OANDA has hired Paweł Latocha as its new Head of Operational Risk.
Latocha has also been made a member of the management board for OANDA TMS – the broker’s Poland-regulated entity.
The new OANDA executive joins the firm from IG Group, where he spent almost five years.
Latocha joined the London-based broker’s office in Poland as a Risk Reporting Manager back in 2021.
He was promoted to Head of Operational Risk Assurance and Reporting the following year and then again, to be Head of Risk & Compliance Portfolio and Systems, in August of 2024.
Latocha has worked in financial services for almost two decades and has held roles at Deutsche Bank, Shell, and State Street.
OANDA completed its acquisition of Polish broker Dom Maklerski TMS Brokers SA in 2021, having announced the deal the year previously.
The firm was itself acquired by prop trading firm FTMO this year, with the deal completed last week, after regulators gave their approval for the transaction.
