Broker industry veteran Gary Pettit has joined Marex as Global Head of Rates.
Pettit recently moved to the Nasdaq-listed financial services group from Sigma Broking, according to his LinkedIn profile, where he had been chief executive since late 2023.
He was formerly UK CEO of the capital markets arm of ED&F Man, a role he was promoted to in 2020 after having worked at the commodities broker – which he initially joined as Global Head Financial Futures & Options – for around five years,
Pettit has held a number of other senior role during his more than 35 years in the industry, including Global Head of Financial Futures & Options at ICAP and the same role at MF Global, where he worked for more than 12 years.
