Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) has appointed new members to its Consultative Panel, the exchange said on Friday.

The Consultative Panel is an advisory body that provides market feedback and guidance on exchange policy, regulation, and operational matters. Panel input can shape consultation papers, trading and clearing workflow changes, and implementation timetables.

HKEX did not include the full list of appointees in the release text reviewed by TradeInformer.

Panel structure

HKEX revised the Panel structure effective 1 June 2022. Each Panel is chaired by HKEX management representatives, with membership drawn from market participants and other stakeholders, as shown by HKEX market communications.

The Consultative Panel is separate from other HKEX advisory groups. The exchange also runs a Fixed Income and Currencies (FIC) Advisory Panel, which advises on FIC strategy and was chaired by Glenda So until she stepped down as Co-Head of Markets in late 2024 and left HKEX in July 2025, according to HKEX’s governance materials.

Recurring refresh cycle

HKEX has refreshed consultative body membership across multiple rounds in prior years, with appointment releases in 2019, 2021, and 2025. The 2022 structural revision updated how panels are chaired, shifting leadership from HKEX directors to management representatives.
