Financial services firm Wedbush on Tuesday announced an expansion of its Equity Sales & Trading platform, promoting Joe Borruso to Managing Director, Head of Global Equities, and hiring Michael Kaye as Managing Director of Equity Sales and Weston Boone as Managing Director of Equity Trading.

The appointments give Wedbush senior leadership across equities: global strategy and coordination under Borruso, institutional distribution through Kaye, and trading execution and liquidity via Boone.

Borruso will oversee investment strategy, trading, and cross-regional collaboration. He previously served as COO and Global Head of Special Projects & Middle Office at Maybank Kim Eng and held a Managing Director role at JP Morgan.

Kaye brings over 20 years of experience across trading, investing, and institutional sales, with a background in digital assets. He has held roles at Deutsche Bank, Berenberg, Redburn, and BTIG.

Boone joins with nearly 30 years of capital markets experience focused on Financials and REITs. He previously held Managing Director roles at Stifel and Legg Mason.

“We are expanding with purpose, and this is just the beginning,” said Burke Dempsey, EVP, Head of Investment Banking & Capital Markets at Wedbush.
