Funded trader firm FTMO is hiring for an accountant position in Australia.
The role itself is not particularly interesting but it is one potential sign of the company’s growth ambitions.
In its job spec, FTMO says that the prospective Senior Accountant hire would work in the company’s ‘Sydney office’ in Australia.
FTMO appears to have also established some operations in Cyprus, although these seem to be at an early stage.
The large majority of FTMO’s employees are based in Prague, where the company’s headquarters are located.
Despite starting out as a funded trader company, FTMO has substantial expansion plans. Earlier this year company CEO and Co-Founder Ottaker Suffner told TradeInformer that the firm would be attempting to launch a brokerage business.
Not long after that interview was published, the company hired ex-Skilling CEO and long-time FXCM executive Michael Kamerman to head up its nascent brokerage operations.
The company has also acquired a quant trading firm in the Czech Republic and a digital marketing agency over the last 18 months.
