B2Broker no longer on MetaQuotes servers

Technology and liquidity provider B2Broker appears to have been removed from the MetaQuotes ecosystem.

The company’s servers on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 for both B2Prime and B2Broker seem to no longer be accessible, either via mobile or desktop.

B2Broker was historically one of the major providers of MetaQuotes white labels. However, MetaQuotes stopped issuing new white labels in October 2022.

A month before that happened B2Broker started offering white labels for the cTrader platform. It has since launched a trading platform – B2Trader – aimed at the crypto market, as well as a prop trading solution.

MetaQuotes has become increasingly strict about its products over the last few years. It’s still unclear what the initial cause of this was, but it’s plausible it was related to a scam that effected a US resident in 2021. This was followed by the MetaQuotes apps being removed from the iOS store in 2022.

In the period since then, MetaQuotes has stopped issuing white labels and made the process of getting a license for its products much more cumbersome than it was in the past.

The technology company has also made life difficult for brokers and companies offering funded trader challenges. In August, retail broker Eightcap was impacted by this and was temporarily removed from the MetaQuotes mobile and desktop applications.
