Markets.com MENA partner departs firm

Retail broker executive Ali Makki has left his role at Markets.com.

Makki joined the broker as a contractor to Markets.com, which is the retail arm of the Finalto group of companies, at the start of this year. He operated via his own entity Premio.

TradeInformer understands that Makki is going to work with broker Infinox.

Prior to joining Markets.com, Makki ran an introducing brokerage business, also based in Lebanon, called AlphaA Traders. The company targeted the wider MENA region and provided market analysis, signals, and other tools to retail traders.

The company appears to have had an introducing agreement with London-headquartered brokerage group Infinox in the past.

A number of Infinox’s former partners have jumped ship to Markets.com over the last 12 months. This appears to be because of Dany Mawas, who joined Markets at the start of the year as the CEO for South Africa.

Mawas was previously Regional Director for South Africa at Infinox, as well as being Global Head of Retention.
