FXStreet hits 100k Telegram followers

Trading news website FXStreet has hit 100,000 followers on its Telegram channel.

The company claims that it is the only news and education provider of its kind to have reached the milestone.

Although other ‘trading’ channels have more followers, most of them do not appear to be particularly trustworthy or part of a wider news service.

Telegram has emerged as a popular medium for traders to access news and updates, as well as trading signals and other educational-type materials.

The platform also acts a bit like Discord, with users able to interact with one another and share trading ideas.

Brokerage group NAGA also launched a mini app within Telegram in September. Although the figure has since tapered off dramatically, more than 150,000 people used the app in the first month after its launch.

Holding company Exinity, which operates Alpari and FXTM, has also invested in a crypto gaming company that runs a popular Telegram mini app.
