Hantec Trader, the prop trading arm of Hantec Markets, announced its rebrand on Thursday.
Changes to the company’s homepage, which has been redesigned slightly, have been live for a couple of weeks. The colours used for the company’s logo and other elements of the website have also been changed, although the core text and product remains the same.
However, there are a couple of other features of the redesign of the website.
One is that ‘Powered by Hantec Markets’ now appears at the top left of the screen. The other is that the website URL has changed. Formerly it was ‘htrader.com’ – now it’s htader.hmarkets.com.
The reason for these changes appear to be pressure from MetaQuotes.
TradeInformer understands that the company has been forcing brokers that have a prop division to change their web URLs so that they feature the broker’s. They have also put pressure on firms to make other clear links between the broker arm and the prop arm.
As a result, you can see that Blueberry, Taurex, and OANDA have all made similar changes to their prop landing page URLs, with other changes designed to show the connection between the prop offering and the broker parent firm.
