Former IG Group executive Alex Ratford has joined Crypto.com as Global VP of Growth Partnerships.
Ratford worked at IG Group for just over four years.
He was initially the brokerage group’s Global Marketing Partnership Lead and worked as the firm’s Marketing Partnerships Lead for Europe and Emerging Markets in his final 10 months at the company.
He is the second senior marketing executive from IG Group to move over to Crypto.com
Manuel Del Aguila Barbero, who was previously IG’s Global Head of Media, joined the crypto trading firm at the end of last year. He had been at IG for a decade.
Crypto.com is in the process of pushing into ‘traditional’ asset classes.
The company has already added cash equities for some users and has plans to add CFDs and exchange-traded derivatives in the near future.
