Brokerage company Equiti Group announced on Tuesday that it has hired Yiannos Xenophontos as its new Group Head of Dealing.
“Yiannos’ deeply technical experience in trading and the financial services sector is a tremendous addition to Equiti.” said Equiti Group CEO and Co-Founder Iskandar Najjar. “With Yiannos joining the team, I know we can continue to deliver the best execution and trading experience across the globe.”
Xenophontos joins Equiti after almost 15 years at FxPro. He joined the broker in 2010 as a dealer and was promoted several times during his tenure with the firm.
That included stints working as FxPro’s Group Head of Dealing and, for six years prior to his leaving the firm, as the company’s Chief Operating Officer.
Xenophontos will relocate to Dubai from Cyprus in order to take up his new role with Equiti Group.

Like many other firms, Equiti has shifted its focus over the last few years to work in emerging markets.
The company has more of a presence in the Levant and Middle East, with offices in Jordan and the UAE.
