Exness founder Petr Valov has been quietly building a blockchain-based project over the last few years.
The original concept for Statecraft, the name of the project, came about in 2021. However, it seems it is moving towards a point where it will actually be functional and open to use for end users.
Statecraft now has its own website – Statecraft.tech – which gives users the option to sign up. The website has been operational for at least a year, but was previously just an overview of the project and what it would do.
The site does still seem to be in some kind of ‘beta’ mode as users cannot register unless their account has been whitelisted.
What is Statecraft?
The general idea behind the project seems to be that you sign up and create something like an online community.
The person that starts that community can then structure how it operates based on different governance systems.
For example, the network owner could put a voting system in place to determine how aspects of the network would be managed. Presumably they could also run a dictatorship, perhaps after growing tired of the follies of democracy.
The website says that it could be used by a range of people and entities. For example, someone managing a simple online community could use Statecraft to get feedback from members of that community.
Similarly, a governmental body could use the technology for voting or referendums.
