The UK arm of Japanese broker Hirose Financial has hired Marco Maggioni as part of its prime services operations.
Maggioni will work in the team to expand its FX and CFD business, acting as a prime services and liquidity provider to other financial institutions.
Prior to joining Hirose, Maggioni was a Sales Director at rival liquidity provider Finalto. He spent almost two years at the firm and left towards the end of last year, alongside several other senior executives.
Before working at Finalto, Maggioni was Head of New Business at iSAM Securities, which was then operating under the IS Prime brand.
He spent over five years at the company and was responsible for bringing in new business to the firm.
Maggioni has worked in the online trading industry for almost two decades and has also held roles at several retail brokers, including ActivTrades, London Capital Group, and Alpari.
Hirose’s UK operations are headed up by Nick Downes, who has worked in FX trading for almost four decades. He has held senior sales roles at a number of investment banks, including UBS, Citibank, and Commerzbank.
