Match-Trader Discord server

The Discord server for trading platform Match-Trader has surpassed 30,000 users, barely 12 months after launching.

The company only hit 10,000 followers on the account 7 months ago.

Growth in the follower count reflects a now well-established trend among traders, who frequently use the messaging platform to follow trading influencers, discuss trading ideas, and other community activities.

Props in particular have been extremely good at leveraging Discord for community building on their platforms. Match-Trader actually added a feature that let’s a user sign up to a prop firm using their Discord account because of this.

Adding the platform has allowed Match-Trader to get feedback from end users, identify bugs, and rollout new features directly to end traders.

The growth in the tech firm’s Discord community is also a sign of the growing popularity of the platform.

Last month Match-Trader announced that it had seen a nearly 300% increase in the number of companies that had taken out a server for its platform since January of last year.

That may be in part due to MetaQuotes aggressively attacking prop firms and forcing them to stop taking on US customers in early 2024. The company also targeted brokers who were providing third-party services to prop firms using their technology.
