One of the co-founders of The 5%ers – a prop firm – has set up his own brand.
Snir Ahiel announced the launch of Fund Your FX on Thursday.
The new brand is registered in Hong Kong, presumably for tax and privacy reasons, although Ahiel is based in Israel.
Fund Your FX appears to have been live for a couple of months, based on web traffic data from SimilarWeb.
The 5%ers was one of the first prop firms to launch back in 2016.
Given the lack of publicly available information, it is difficult to know who the ‘biggest’ in the industry is. However, web traffic and ad spend would suggest The 5%ers is one of the larger firms in the sector today.
Ahiel appears to have left the company two years ago. UK company registry data shows that he ceased to be an owner of The 5%ers UK entity in August 2022.
