Brokerage executive Andreas Andreou announced on Monday that he has launched a new prop trading firm called thePropTrade.
The company has already launched a website, with three different challenge styles and prices that range from under $100 to just over $1,000.
Andreou is the Founder of the firm and also Co-CEO.
He will likely be familiar to readers due to his background in the trading industry. Most recently, he was at BDswiss, where he spent almost two years, initially as Chief Commercial Officer, then as Chief Revenue Officer.
However, Andreou spent the bulk of his career at HFM. He joined the broker in 2014 and spent close to a decade there, ultimately becoming Head of Business Development in 2021 and working from the company’s Dubai office.
Several brokerage executives have now either opened prop trading firms, alongside many brokers themselves. For example, IronFX founder Markos Kashiouris has set up a UK-based firm called Ultimate Traders to cater to the market.
