Brokerage executive Christoforos Panagiotou has moved to FP Markets to take up a new role as the company’s Regional Manager for Africa.
Panagiotou joins the company after a short stint at Doo Prime. Prior to that he worked for just over a year at Fxview as the company’s Africa Regional Manager.
The bulk of Panagiotou’s career in the brokerage space was with Tickmill.
He joined the broker in 2016 and worked there for over seven years, where he was also focused on the African market as Regional Manager.
African countries have become increasingly popular places for brokers to do business over the last five years or so.
For example, Deriv now has offices in Rwanda and Senegal.
Exness has also taken steps to expand in countries like Ghana and Kenya, via local partnerships with popular introducing brokers.
The main markets that brokers tend to target are South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, and Egypt.
However, other markets in North Africa and West Africa are becoming more popular as well.
