The Global Partnerships Team Lead at Deriv has left the brokerage group after almost a decade working for the firm.
Ricardo Alves joined Deriv in 2016 and was originally Country Manager for Latin America and Southern Africa.
In 2022 he was made Global Partnerships Team Lead. Prior to joining Deriv, Alves worked in similar roles in Panama and South Africa.
Although the company operates globally and has a significant presence in Asia and Latin America, Deriv appears to be proving particularly successful in Africa.
The company has relationships with some huge introducing brokers in Kenya and Nigeria, with a large chunk of the broker’s web traffic to its main site appearing to come from those two countries.
Deriv also has a large operational office in Rwanda and a smaller one in Senegal.
Alongside partnerships, the broker has allegedly proven extremely popular after being the first brand to launch trading on synthetic indices, a product that is most popular in African countries.
