Brokerage group eToro announced on Friday that it has added more local currency deposit options for clients in Europe.
The company said that clients can now make card deposits into their accounts in Swedish Krona, Norwegian Krone, Danish Krone, Swiss Franc, Hungarian Forint, Polish Zloty, Czech Koruna, and Romania Leu.
The broker is also going to add the option to make bank transfers in those currencies available too.
eToro historically only accepted client deposits in US dollars and would automatically convert client deposits in other currencies.
However, it has been rolling out more local currency deposit options over the last few months.
In October of last year, the broker added EUR and GBP trading options for clients. That followed on from previously allowing clients to deposit in those currencies.
eToro has also added a payments product called eToro Money to its offering. This gives clients an e-wallet which they can use to make and receive payments. It also has a debit card that clients can use to make ‘real world’ payments with.
