Brokerage group eToro has added the Donald Trump meme coin to its platform, seemingly making it the first player in the CFD space to offer the cryptocurrency to clients.

The broker is offering the physical asset, although it is not available for clients in the US, UAE, or Germany.

“We’re thrilled to share that eToro is among the first brokers to list the Trump Meme Coin, a trending asset with a market cap exceeding $10 billion,” said eToro’s Director of Media Partnerships, Shiran Herzberg.

“In today’s fast-moving and ever-evolving market environment, we’re proud to act quickly and decisively to offer our users access to the latest opportunities. This addition reflects our commitment to keeping up with market trends and ensuring our community stays ahead of the curve.”

Trump announced the launch of the coin on his social media platform – Truth Social – on Friday of last week.

The coin saw a huge surge in value over the weekend before crashing on Monday.

It’s not clear what the actual purpose of the coin is, beyond being a general meme coin for people that like the incoming president.

Trump’s wife Melania also launched a coin on Monday, which has also since rallied in value.
