ex-T212, Capital.com exec jumps ship to Admirals

Long time brokerage exec Mihail Petkov has joined Estonian firm Admirals as Head of Client Services. He is based in the company’s Cyprus office.

Petkov has been active in the retail brokerage industry for close to a decade. He started his career in the industry at Bulgaria headquartered brokerage firm Trading 212.

He began his career at the broker as a Customer Care Specialist before being promoted to become an On-Boarding Specialist and then an On-Boarding Supervisor.

After almost seven years with the broker, Petkov moved from Bulgaria to Cyprus in order to join StocksTech. This was a small broker that appears to have now exited the market.

He then moved to retail broker Capital.com, where he was Head of Back Office in the company’s Cyprus office.

Admirals has undergone several changes in the last couple of years. The firm rebranded in 2021, after 20 years of being called Admiral Markets.

Unusually for the CFD industry, the company also publishes its own financial statements. The latest H1 results show the company was loss-making. However, the company is also sitting on substantial cash reserves.
